A license System Name is a unique identifier that is used by AspenTech for tracking purposes and license generation. The System Name is normally required when requesting a license file through the AspenTech Support Site.
To determine the System Name for a given license file, simply open the license file using the Windows Notepad (or any text editor). The System Name is the last field in the first line. The format of the System Name is usually LSYSXXXXX.Y or SYSXXXXX.Y where Y is the version number. In the example below, the System Name is LSYS12345, version 4:

The individual, who shall be an Institution employee, and the professor or the chairperson of the department whom Institution has designated to contact AspenTech.
The primary user of the Software, generally a professor who teaches and does research and whom the Institution has designated to contact AspenTech.
An individual whom Institution has designated to communicate with AspenTech relative to computer or installation matters.
