Below is a list of Known Issues and available workarounds for the Aspen SLM Reporter Tool.

Known Issue #1: Clicking on the Transactions menu item on the left produces a seemingly empty report. The criteria is shown, along with the total hours, but nothing else.

Workaround: After clicking on Transactions on the left hand side and selecting the appropriate filters/criteria on the right, you need to click on the "Apply Filter for Changes to Take Effect" button. The Transaction Report should then be displayed in its entirety.

Known Issue #2: If you try to add a virtual server name that contains an apostrophe, it will not work but no error message will be displayed.

Workaround: Do not use special characters in the virtual license server name.

Known Issue #3: A server name is missing from the dropdown list.

Workaround: Click the link to add a server for your company. If you are an administrator, you will be able to add a server; otherwise you will be given the names of the administrators for your company so that you can request that they add a server for you.

Known Issue #4: After uploading a log file that contains a space in the name, the Upload Successful message appears but the file is never uploaded.

Workaround: Do not use special characters in the name of the log file.

Known Issue #5: When selecting different options from various drop down menus, the tool will process each selection and update the other drop down menu options to reflect the most recently selected option. There is no indication that you must wait for the drop down menus to be updated.

Workaround: After selecting a drop down menu option, keep an eye on your browser's status. It should show that the browser is either "done" or working on refreshing the page. Wait for the page to finish refreshing before making your next selection from a drop down menu.

Known Issue #6: After opening a few menu items from the left hand navigation, the options at the bottom of the navigation become hidden and there are no scroll bars to allow you to view the hidden options.

Workaround: Close some of the expanded menu items to make the options near the bottom reappear.

Known Issue #7: Sometimes the main Aspen SLM Reporter Tool page gets to a state where clicking on the "Launch Aspen SLM Reporter" button only brings you back to the same page.

Workaround: This is happens when your session has timed out. If this happens, just close all your browser windows that are related to your Aspen SLM Reporter Tool session and then open up a new window and log back on again.

Known Issue #8: In the Delete Logs page, logs are presented in a dropdown box with no ability to select multiple logs.

Workaround: There is no workaround for the current version but is to be fixed for the next version.

Known Issue #9: In the View Uploaded Logs page, the page numbers are not explicit in showing the total number of pages (e.g. 1 of 1+). If there are 3 pages, it should show page 1 of 3.

Workaround: The only workaround is to be more vigilant at looking at the page numbers and paying attention to the "+" sign that indicates there's more than 1 page (e.g. 1+) or 2 pages (e.g. 2+).

Known Issue #10: On the Combined Company Usage page, you first have to add the companies and then click the the submit button. Clicking the submit button will take you back to the home page.

Workaround: There is no workaround for the current version but is to be fixed for the next version.

Known Issue #11: When an exported report is opened in Excel, some data is missing or truncated.

Workaround: If your log file contains more than 65,536 rows, Excel 2002 and Excel 2003 will not be able to display all of your data. You can workaround this limitation by exporting the data in XML. Aspen SLM Reporter will break up your data into sheets to handle the overflow of data. Excel also limits the number of columns as well. Please aware that you may have to select a shorter date range when exporting daily reports.

Known Issue #12: On the Transactions report there is either no data or only a single line of data.

Workaround: The Transactions report is a drill down report. You can use the menu bar at the top of the report to traverse the report by clicking the left arrow to move backwards and right arrows to move forward into the report.

Known Issue #13: A Daily Product Usage Log has been requested hours ago but hasn't been downloaded yet.

Workaround: Depending on the number of requests by other users, the Aspen SLM Reporter may be busy processing other requests. If your report is not processed within 24 hours, please contact support.

Known Issue #14: A downloaded Daily Product Usage Log has errors or the data does not look right for the token values.

Workaround: If you find a -1 as a token value in the report, it means that the product is not a token product. However, if you find values that exceed the token values that you are licensed for, it means that there may be errors in your log file. It is best to contact support and have your log file looked at for errors in the log. All data is generated and obtained from the log file. The Aspen SLM Reporter does not alter data at any point in its processing.

Known Issue #15: After selecting filters, nothing happens and no report is generated.

Workaround: Click the "Apply Filter for Changes to Take Effect" button.

Known Issue #16: A selected report is taking a long time to load.

Workaround: Please make sure that the you select and applied your filters first prior to viewing reports. This will help you get your data faster.
