Problem Statement
This knowledge base article describes how to obtain locking information while requesting an AspenTech license.

Solution

1. Download the attached SLM Locking Tool executable to the machine on which you will install the license.  This applies to both standalone licenses and network licenses.

2. Run the SLMLockInfo.exe.  You will see a screen similar to the one below:



3. Click on the Copy to Clipboard button then copy the content to an email or Microsoft Word document.  Send the email to AspenTech (esupport@aspentech.com) for license configuration.
