V11 GDOT Install guide mentions SQL 2014 Server is supported whereas V11 GDOT Platform support specifications indicate that it is not. According to the last, only SQL 2016 is supported (standard or express). It is then supported to install SQL 2014 for V11 GDOT?
Workaround
It is not supported to install SQL 2014 for a V11 GDOT installation. Use SQL 2016 only according to the platform support specifications.
Each cycle the software is tested against the platform support specifications. While it is possible to run the GDOT software with a different version of SQL, incompatibility issues may arise. The mention of SQL 2014 in the install guide is incorrect.
