Problem Statement
When connecting Aspen Verify to PIMS result database customer get the message “Invalid object name 'prcase' during SQL server connection.
Solution
There is a requirement for PIMS databases collation to be set as
case-insensitive
(that will be noted in the documentation starting from V14). Please note PIMS database script does not specify the collation attribute but takes the default collation that has been set in SQL Server. The default collation value is determined from the operating system locale. Look at the Server-Level Collations section in the link
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/collations/collation-and-unicode-support?view=sql-server-ver15#Locale_Defn
In that scenario where the default collation value is a case-sensitive one, then the user will need to specify a case-insensitive collation value in the PIMS database script. If the user manually creates the PIMS database, then the collation value needs to be a case-insensitive one.
