The eSupport Website allows users to search for Knowledge Base or KB Articles to assist with their issues or answer a question they may have. Here are some tips and tricks to help users find articles more effectively.
Negative Symbol
– Using the

symbol before a word in the query will have the search engine ignore articles that mainly use that specific word.
EX. V12 Installation Guide -V11
Articles only with V11 in the title will not be shown to the user.
Exact Match
– Using quotations
“ ”
around a word or a string of words will have the search engine match articles with those words as much as possible.
EX. “V12 HYSYS Installation Guide”
The V12 HYSYS Installation guide will be shown to the user.
Wild Card
– Using an asterisk
*
in the query will have the search engine try to show articles that may show articles that may have a specific subject that the user could be looking for. The wild card is mostly used as a placeholder.
EX. * installation guide
The search will show installation guides with different products.
