Problem Statement
This error was detected on V12 and V12.1 of CIMIO and APC V12.1. The problem can happen when CIMIO Diagnostic is enabled to track Reads and Write failures and OPC requests.

As part of the symptoms once the CIMIO Diag log is enabled the APC controller will start logging messages such as Write Failure from Application XXXX.

This is a general error that affects the entire APC controller and will not show any particular variable, moreover, it can show Time Outs as another problem.

Solution
The problem is basically is related to the time that CIMIO and APC take to process all requests for reading and Writing. Once the CIMIO Diagnostics is disabled the APC controller should be able to send the information to the OPC as the resource for the Diagnostics log will no longer be used. If CIMIO Diagnostics logs require to be used another workaround is to increase the Timeout from the IO source. To access the IO Source, you will need to bring the Configure Online Server application from the DMC/Online Server. Follow the next steps to modify the Time out value:

1.- From windows start open Configure Online Server.
2.- Once is open go to the IO tab and select the IO Source that the controller is using
3.- On the right-hand side, panel select Edit Source.
4.- change the Value of Time out (as a general observation around 120 seconds will work, as thumb rule use the double of the controller cycle)

5.- finally click OK then on the main interface click on Apply and Ok to accept all changes

6.- Turn ON the controller and have CIMIO Diagnostics Log running.
