Description
AspenWatch Maker is a powerful tool that controls the Data History Collection of all APC Applications (DMC3 , DMCplus, IQ,etc.). Moreover, AspenWatch Maker can collect additional information such as tags that do not belong to the controllers (Misc. tags) and the collection of PID loops schemes.
In addition to that, AspenWatch has the capability to process certain calculations to track the performance of the Controllers or Calculate additional performance indicators, these calculations are known as KPIs and can be found on the History tab of PCWS. The KPIs displayed on PCWS can be observed in two different ways:
1.- On System Status it will display a summary of the general KPIs for all controllers
2.- Click on every Controller name, which will display a specific KPI dashboard for the controller.

Furthermore, by going AW Maker > KPI Manager new calculations can be generated or modified.
In this tutorial, we will show how a KPI Calculation can be created using as an example a Token Counter for the DMC3 (RTE) Controllers.

How to use this Tutorial
This Tutorial includes a PDF file, a .txt file with the KPI formula for further reference, and a .cfg file that contains the KPI_extended library plus the token counter KPI.
