Problem Statement
An error is observed when attempting a test connection between the
OPC HDA server and Aspen Mtell server
through the "Test" button under
Configuration --> Settings --> Sensor Data Sources
on
Mtell System Manager
.
The following error is also observed when loading the
HoneywellPHD adapter URL
on the internet browser.
(Application can be browsed through Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager --> localhost server --> Sites --> AspenTech --> AspenMtell --> Adapter --> right click HoneywellPHD --> Manage Application --> Browse)

Calling LoadLibraryEx on ISAPI filter “C:\Windows\
Microsoft.NET
\Framework\v4.0.30319\\aspnet_filter.dll" failed
Solution
To solve this issue, it is necessary to perform the next procedure:
Go to the
Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
, click on the server and double click on
ISAPI Filters
.
Look in the Executable column for any executable path containing two backslashes. Right click on
edit
and find the double backslashes.
Delete one of the backslashes and then click
OK
.
Reload the
HoneywellPHD adapter URL
on the internet browser to confirm that error has now resolved.
Go to Mtell System Manager and click on the "Test" button again to confirm that the connection has now been established.
