If your facies curve is non-fixed sample rate, it will not be available for Rock Type Classification in Aspen SeisEarth. Using the Well Log Window > optionsĀ > interactive transformations > resampling will interpolate curve values, resulting in incorrect results.
1.Open Geolog Well, click the Well button at the top and select Open Wells to open the wells you need to work with. From the panel on the right of the Wells panel, double-click Text, then select the facies log.
2.Open the Log Values tab to check the curve values. Then click the Set button at the top and select Change Sampling. In the pop-up dialog box, set the output set to FACIES_NEW and set the Sample Rate to 0.1. Click OK.
3.Select FACIES_NEW in the Set Filter and check the curve values from the Log Values tab on the right. As you can see, the depth sampling rate has been changed to 0.1. With this method, the curve values are not interpolated incorrectly.
The newly generated fixed sample rate curve will be available in Rock type Classification
