PROBLEM
Within DMC3 Builder, there is a powerful Simulation section where different scenarios and process conditions can be tested. Sometimes there is a need to take the simulation data and export it to excel to be used externally. The below instructions and the attached video provide information on how to export the data from within DMC3 to excel.
SOLUTION
The following instructions are used to export DMC3 Simulation data and import it into excel. (Video of the instructions attached below)
Open the target DMC3 controller file and navigate to the Simulation section of the workflow.
Run the simulation and then click 'Save plots' when you have collected enough simulation data. This Simulation data will be saved in the datasets view.
Move to datasets, then press right click on the simulation data, then click on “export”.
When the “export” dialog appears, change the file type to be “TXT” and then save it.
The file will be saved as text file.
Open an empty excel file.
From the excel sheet, press on “Open” icon.
Choose the text file that the simulation data saved as text.
The data will be uploaded to excel sheet.
