In this hands-on workshop, you will use Equation Oriented (EO) Capabilities introduced in Aspen HYSYS V10 to optimize a fully integrated Crude Distillation Unit preheat train. All the pump arounds and products from the column are integrated with the heat exchangers in the preheat train using recycle operations. In the conventional mode such a complex simulation is difficult to converge and takes long time to solve. You will perform parameter estimation, data reconciliation and optimization in EO flowsheet within HYSYS. You will also perform What-If studies with the optimizer to explore additional benefits from the new operation strategies. |
