Aspen Capital Cost Estimator Refresher Course and ACCE User Certification

This is a refresher course for Aspen Capital Course Estimator (ACCE) and designed for participants who are preparing to take the ACCE User Certification exam. This version is delivered virtually through a 4-hrs online instructor-led session with access to virtual training lab for self-practices. Certification exam will be held on the next day.

Pre-requisites

  • A background in Cost Estimation. 
  • Attended EEE101 course in the past, or have reasonable practical usage experience with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator.
  • Computer with Internet access, webcam and audio capabilities. During the online certification, participants will be required to turn on their webcam.

Project Basis View
  • Implement project basis and scope specifications via Standard Basis Files and Template File
Area Arrangement and Importing
  • Use Areas and Report Groups to customize project scope and definition
Installation Bulk Piping vs Plant Bulk Piping
  • Understand the difference between installation bulk piping and plant bulk piping
  • Understand how to add plant bulk items such as bulk piping and pipe racks
Buildings and Site Development
  • Understand how to input building
  • Understand how to account for site development cost
Process Control and Power Distribution Networks
  • Show setup requirements for power distribution and process control options and methodology using ACCE
  • Incorporate acquired skills into a cumulative, detailed project estimate
Contracts
  • Investigate contract/contractor structure options and how they apply to ACCE projects
Construction Labor and Equipment Rental 
  • Discuss construction equipment rental and learn how to modify rental equipment for your project
Engineering
  • Review how the system generates project engineering costs and adjust them towards specific projects
