Agenda

System Performance Simulation using Aspen Fidelis

This course helps you get acquainted with Systems Modeling, general Reliability and Maintenance principles and practices and understand how those are incorporated in Aspen Fidelis. You will go through a general theory and principle workshop, see examples of customer models and understand the workflow and basic components of a Fidelis model as well as building and running your own example models. This course will enable you understand your plant model in terms of plant performance, planned and unplanned events, and provide quick pointers to improve the same. You will learn how to use plant data to generate results and enable informed, defensible, decisions on capital asset management.

Navigate the graphical user interface and Aspen Fidelis modeling features

  • Quickly become familiar with Aspen Fidelis product features, interface and model library.
  • Discuss and practice the main aspects of Aspen Fidelis functionality that will be used in model development during the training.
  • Learn the descriptions and definitions of object types available in the model library, equipment data entry workflow using RAM Data Editor (RDE) and calculation settings

Aspen Fidelis Use Cases Overview

  • Design for Reliability
  • Spare parts coverage and optimization

Aspen Fidelis Advanced Features

  • Incorporate real-time updates for tank levels from historians
  • Work with submodels
