Equipment Analytics (Mtell) Qualification - Junior Level

The purpose of this qualification is to enable individuals to make technical contributions to Equipment Analytics implementations and projects using the AspenTech Mtell product. It serves as an enablement path that includes prerequisite validation, training and coaching, and concludes with information on the requirements for the qualification interview.

Approach

Delivered through AspenTech University courses, AspenTech provided coaching/content, self-learning and guided projects.

Pre-requisites

  • 3 years of engineering knowledge in a front-line role
  • Deep domain expertise in reliability best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of industry domain and equipment reliability
  • Product expertise in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and general process engineering
  • Relevant experience in data modelling for predictive insights
  • Knowledge of reliability tools (and knowledge of primary assets)
  • Risk assessment experience
  • Basic knowledge of IT related topics: MS Office software, system management, data wrangling, Python, software installation
  • Key user skills required: Analytical skills, problem solving, detail oriented, continuous improvement mindset, effective communication, agile and flexible thinking, adaptability, team and project co-ordination in customer facing role
