Aspen InfoPlus.21 Qualification - Junior Level

This qualification program is available for MSC-MES partners only


The purpose of this qualification is to enable individuals to make technical contributions to implementations and projects using the Aspen InfoPlus.21 product. It serves as an enablement path that includes prerequisite validation, training and coaching, and concludes with information on the requirements for the qualification interview.

Approach

Delivered through AspenTech University courses, AspenTech provided coaching/content, self-learning and guided projects.

Pre-requisites

  • Domain knowledge of the end user or similar industrial experience (5 – 7 years)
  • Engineering hands-on experience on 3 – 5 InfoPlus.21 small projects (basic level) related to areas including: Visualization, Installs/upgrade, Tag configuration, Reports, Calcs and SQLPlus
  • Understanding of data historian and OT concepts
  • Knowledge of OT connectivity specifically OPC UA/DA and associated networking requirements such as firewall programming skills to use SQLplus and Calc script
  • Knowledge of Windows OS including tasks, services and files
  • Intermediate Knowledge of SQLplus
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Excel
  • InfoPlus.21 projects vary considerably in complexity and technologies, as a minimum a lead should have a thorough understanding of the IP.21 basics and administration, and SQLplus for configuration and development purposes.
  • Layered products such as OEE or SPC may not be applicable to many projects, additional training would be required in such technologies, as necessary.
