Modeling an ideal refinery is key to successful operations to prevent bottlenecks and maximize profits. In this class, you will learn and apply best practices to build, troubleshoot and optimize catalytic reformer reactor model unit using Aspen HYSYS® Petroleum Refining. In this class, you will also learn technique to generate delta vectors which can be used in the refinery LP planning model (Aspen PIMS) to improve refinery crude feedstock selection and plant-wide optimization. This customized course is primarily workshop-based with an introductory lecture and demonstration.
Familiarity with process simulation is preferred, but not required. Having refinery work experience is added advantage to understand various units of refining plant.
