Introduction to Aspen Energy Analyzer
  • Overview of Aspen Energy Analyzer, Conceptual Design, Pinch Technology and features of Aspen Energy Analyzer
  • Workshop : Manually design a small heat exchanger network to obtain better heat integration

Energy Target Fundamentals
  • Construct Composite Curves to set energy recovery targets Access and view the desired inputs and results
  • Introduce the “Pinch” to set an upper limit for heat recovery
  • Architecture of Aspen Energy Analyzer and data input to automatically generate the targets
  • Workshop: Manually construct composite curves and obtain calculated energy targets

Energy Targets by Aspen Energy Analyzer
  • Introduce the basic structure of Aspen Energy Analyzer
  • Basic input required for energy targets
  • Obtain heating and cooling targets using Aspen Energy Analyzer
  • Workshop: Input stream T-H data in the software and obtain energy targets.

Cost, Area and Unit Targets
  • Fundamentals of cost, heat transfer area and number of unit targets.

  • Introduce the “Utility Pinch” to limit utility load
