Problem Statement
This solution provides a way to run different and multiple cases for a DMC3 Builder project.
Solution
The Model Structure of a DMC3 Builder is basically divided into two parts: Master Model and Case Folders. Inside of these Case Folders, we can create multiple cases with different vectors, parameters trials, datasets, etc.
Using this structure DMC3 builder can run a single Case that exists inside a Case Folder just by selecting the Case and Run Identify:
or Run Identify for all cases inside the Case Folder, by selecting the Case Folder Icon and Run Identify:
However, this structure by default does not allow you to select and run some specific cases at the same time for example we would like to run just CASE_1 and CASE_3. Unfortunately, there is not a default function that allows doing something like that, but we can take advantage of the described structure to perform this task.
The proposed workaround is basically creating a New Folder and create a copy of the cases that you would like to run inside that Folder.
And again, by selecting the Folder and click on identify we will be able just to identify CASE_1 and CASE_3.
Notice that Copy of CASE_1 is essentially a different case than CASE_1 (even though they have the same structure), so whatever you may change on Copy of CASE_1 will not be reflected on CASE_1
