Problem Statement
How do you create a 3D Plot for RADFRAC profile (for example: Temperature profile, Composition profile) in Aspen Plus Dynamics with number of stage in X axis and time in Y axis?
Solution
The attached example file is used to explained how to create a temperature profile of RADFRAC block with number of stage in X axis and time in Y axis.
1. From the toolbars click the "New Form" botton, enter the plot name and select "Profile Plot", then click OK.
2. Do a RMB click on the plot and select "Profile Variables".
3. Do a RMB click on the RADFRAC block, select any forms that contains the variables that you want to plot. In this case since we want to plot the temperature profile, we can find it in the "TemperatureProfile" table or "AllVariables" table.
4. Drag and drop the variable of any stages to the below space of the Profile Editor and give it any name (i.e. Temperature), then change the stage number to * if it is not automatically done.
5. Select the variable and click the >>Plot button (this will be the Z axis). The X axis is the number of stage and Y axis is time. Click OK button to show close the Profile Editor window.
6. Perform and dynamic run to obtain the plot.
